Checkers Sixty60 driver does wheelie in shopping centre

Now we have to look out for Sixty60 bikes in the stores too…
There are currently some mixed feelings about Checkers Sixty60 drivers in South Africa.
On one hand, this service was the catalyst for online grocery shopping, forever making the purchase of household necessities more convenient than ever before.
The teal colour and signature Sixty60 logo also became a household brand overnight.

On the other hand, there is some frustration among motorists over many of these riders' driving capabilities and manners on the road.
That's why social media was sent into a frenzy after a video of a Checkers Sixty60 delivery driver doing a wheelie in a shopping centre was shared online.
"They aren't even safe off the roads," said a post by Snap Shift Media, who uploaded the video.
The video, which has garnered over 200,000 views, shows Checkers staff and Sixty60 drivers having some sort of celebration outside a Checkers store.
In the video, the riders can be heard revving their bikes as part of the celebration, but this did not end well for one of the men.
In a shocking turn of events, one of them dropped his foot on what seemed to be the pedal of the bike and accidentally changed gears.

This made the bike leap forward, lifting the front wheel and causing the rider to perform a wheelie in front of the shop, almost hitting a security guard standing nearby.
Luckily, the bike came to a stop before anyone got hurt or before it could cause any damage.

Of course, the comments section was flooded with hilarious reactions from South Africans:
- "Gone in 60 seconds," said Jade Van Der Linde.
- "Funny that I was hit by one of them driving on the sidewalk not so long ago," wrote Keifer Arendse.
- "Did someone check the security guy's pants?" said Jonique Jacobs.
- "Now that’s how they drive in traffic as well," wrote Shiraaj van Harte.
