The school posted the notice on its Facebook page, stating that the no-cellphone policy will be effective from Monday, 2 February 2026.
Breakfast with Martin Bester saw this post and debated whether schools should ban cellphones. This is what the team and our listeners had to say.
According to the school, this shift is an attempt to improve several factors at the school.
These include:
- Focus in the classroom
- Discipline and accountability
- Academic performance
- Respectful learning environments
