Disney+ has just shared the first look at the 'Hannah Montana' 20th Anniversary Special, and it is clear this trip down memory lane is going to be a tearjerker.
At the start of the trailer, Miley Cyrus already admits, "I'll be getting emotional."

Fans will not have to wait long to join her, as the special is scheduled to drop on 24 March.
It is a significant date as it marks exactly 20 years since the show first arrived on our screens on Disney Channel.

What to expect from the ‘Hannahversary’
According to Deadline, the special was filmed with a live studio audience and features a deep-dive interview between Miley and Alex Cooper of the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast.
Viewers can also look forward to seeing never-before-seen footage. Iconic sets from the original series have been meticulously rebuilt, including the famous 'Hannah Montana' walk-in closet and the Stewart family’s living room.
Reflecting on the show's legacy, Miley previously shared: "'Hannah Montana' will always be a part of who I am. What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be thankful for that connection."

A look back at the numbers
'Hannah Montana' was one of the most popular shows on Disney Channel, running for four seasons between 2006 and 2011.
The franchise even hit the big screen with 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' in 2009, which went on to earn more than $155 million (about R2.9 billion) at the global box office.
