Hit-and-run: Motorist drives off after crashing into Sixty60 driver
A motorist was caught on CCTV driving away after hitting a Checkers Sixty60 delivery driver in Glenwood, Durban.
Video footage of a hit-and-run incident in Glenwood, Durban, has left many social media users in shock.
CCTV footage shows the moment a white Volkswagen turns at an intersection while a Checkers Sixty60 driver attempts to cross the road.
The Volkswagen drives straight into the delivery driver, knocking him and his motorcycle to the ground.
At first glance, the delivery driver appears to be unharmed, as he immediately gets back up after the crash. However, his condition has not yet been confirmed.
To make matters worse, after a brief interaction with the delivery driver, the motorist drives away from the scene, leaving him standing in the middle of the road.
The video ends with the Sixty60 driver walking over to retrieve a shoe that came off during the crash.
According to the timestamp on the CCTV footage, the incident occurred on Clark Road during the late afternoon of 25 July.
The South Africa Crime Updates Facebook page reported that although the VW fled the scene immediately after the collision, its number plate was left behind, which could assist authorities with their investigation.
