Rugby’s Greatest ivalry is back in South Africa!
South Africa and New Zealand have long been regarded as the biggest rivals in the world of rugby.
Together, the two countries dominate the list of nations with the most Rugby World Cup wins in history.
In 2026, the two renowned teams will return to the battlefield for a landmark four-Test series.

Rugby's Greatest Rivalry, the touring series between the Springboks and the All Blacks, held every four years, returns in 2026 with a historic twist added.
Three of the Tests will be played at iconic South African venues, followed by a landmark finale in the United States at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
This will mark the first time the rivalry is staged on American soil.

Breakfast with Martin Bester spoke about the exciting event and touched on some of the insane ticket prices.
“The 2026 tour comprises nine matches over five weeks, combining elite franchise fixtures, women’s international rugby, and a blockbuster Test series between the Springboks and the All Blacks,” says the official Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry website.
As part of the tour, the All Blacks will face South Africa’s four leading franchises: the DHL Stormers, the Hollywoodbets Sharks, the Lions and the Vodacom Bulls.
The tour also features a major women’s international, with the Springbok Women taking on the Black Ferns, highlighting the continued growth and importance of the women’s game.
Ticket prices
General ticket sales opened on Monday, following a pre-sale period for registered buyers last week.
According to The South African, demand was strongest for the Cape Town Test.

Remaining ticket prices range between R1 650 and R4 000, as the more affordable R850 tickets quickly sold out. Ticket prices for All Blacks vs South African franchise fixtures range between R250 and R1 350.
With demand expected to be high, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets as early as possible to avoid missing out on Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry.

- Saturday, 22 August: First Test — South Africa vs New Zealand — Ellis Park, Johannesburg
- Tuesday, 25 August: Lions vs New Zealand — Ellis Park, Johannesburg
- Saturday, 29 August: Second Test — South Africa vs New Zealand — Cape Town Stadium, Cape Town
- Saturday, 5 September: Third Test — South Africa vs New Zealand — FNB Stadium, Johannesburg
- Saturday, 12 September: Fourth Test — South Africa vs New Zealand — M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore
