For the next few months, there are going to be almost too many sport events to count so make sure you set your reminders and block out you calendar.
Every now and then, South Africa experiences something that very few countries worldwide are familiar with.
Nothing unites this country as sport does.
And in 2026, we are getting A LOT of sport.
Here are all the fixtures, dates and details you could need to ensure you don't miss a single second of the action.

FIFA World Cup 2026
Bafana Bafana are ready to proudly raise the SA flag in North America as they play in the world's most-watched sporting event.
The opening ceremony takes place on Thursday, 11 June at 19:30, with performances by Shakira, Burna Boy, and even our very own Tyla.
As soon as it's over, Bafana face off against one of the host nations, Mexico, for Group A's first match.
Kick-off: 21:00
Where to watch: SuperSport DSTV channels 201, 202, 203 and 235, as well as SABC 1 or SABC 3.
Game 2: SA vs Czechia
Date: Thursday, 18 June
Kick-off: 18:00
Game 3: SA vs Korea Republic
Date: Thursday, 25 June

ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026
The #Unbreakable Proteas Women are kicking off their T20 World Cup campaign on 13 June.
With their calm but confident captain, Laura Wolvaardt, at the helm, the team is ready to take it all the way to the end.
And they're the current favourites to win!
They'll face Australia in their first match at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, England.
Date: Saturday, 13 June
Time: 15:30
Where to watch: All games are live on DStv Premium SS Cricket (212) and Cricket Africa (213) channels. Occasional matches on Grandstand (201). Highlights packages for every match will be available on Catch Up.

The Springboks
It's rugby season, and there are a few exciting months ahead for our golden boys as things kick into gear.
The Springboks will "ease into it" as they head to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha for a friendly against the Barbarians.

Kick-off: 15:00
