The world was shocked by the news of the 79-year-old Oscar-winning actress's death on 11 October.

Her two 'The First Wives Club' costars, Bette Midler and Goldie Hawn, paid tribute to the actress after the tragic news broke.
Midler wrote that Keaton "was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile, or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star. What you saw was who she was...oh, la, lala!"
Hawn said that she "left us with a trail of fairy dust, filled with particles of light and memories beyond imagination."
