South Africa’s very own Johannes Radebe is officially joining the hosting line-up of the BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The BBC confirmed that the Free State-born dancer will be one of the co-hosts of the 24th season of the dancing competition.

Radebe is set to be one of three presenters, alongside television presenter Emma Willis and comedian Josh Widdicombe.

The trio will replace hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who left the show in 2025.

Radebe was born in Zamdela, a township just outside Sasolburg.

After building his career on the South African version of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, Radebe moved to the UK edition in 2018.

Speaking about the appointment, Radebe said how much the opportunity means to him.

“This show has always stood for joy, heart and togetherness, and I feel deeply honoured to now help carry that magic forward,” he said.

“I’m ready, sequins, nerves and all.”

Radebe is now the first South African-born presenter to host the UK programme.

While the hosts are new, fans can expect some familiar faces at the judging table.

The judging panel, featuring Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke, is confirmed to return for the new season.

Tune in to the 'Breakfast with Martin Bester', weekdays from 06:00 – 09:00. Stream the show live here or download our mobile app here.
