Is the sanitizer hurting your hands at SA stores?
There are concerns that some of these products may not include the right kind of alcohol and the wrong mix of emollients.
Some South Africans are taking to social media to complain about rashes from hand sanitizer when used at stores as you enter.
Could it be the wrong kind of alcohol?
To prevent the spread of COVID-19 South Africans had been asked to clean their hands often by using soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub. Breakfast with Martin Bester invited the head of Dis-Chem clinics, Lizeth Kruger to the studio to show us how to make homemade hand sanitizer.

However, when doing essential grocery shopping, one usually makes use of the sanitizer available at the shop.
According to Business Insider and a Breakfast with Martin Bester listener, the ingredient of safe hand sanitizer is isopropyl and not methanol.
