2024 was Tyla's year, but she's made sure that 2025 is another one for the books.
She started 2025 strong with another hit single, 'PUSH 2 START', attending the Grammys, and gracing the cover of the iconic British Vogue.

Since her success with the hit single 'Water', she released her debut album, which also features some of the biggest international stars and multiple other successful songs.
Tyla is a multi-award-winning superstar who, in her "first" year, already bagged a Grammy win and the accolades keep pouring in.
At this point, it's hard to remember a time before Tyla, and her latest achievement seems to highlight that.

The song that put her on the map, that made us sweat and made us water, has surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.
While that is a feat in itself, this has also made her the first African solo artist to do so!
We are incredibly proud of Tyla’s historic achievement. This milestone is a testament to her talent, hard work, and the power of music to transcend borders. Tyla’s success is an inspiration to aspiring artists across Africa and the world, and we are honoured to have played a part in her journey.- Phiona Okumu (Head of Music, Sub-Saharan Africa, Spotify)

- Drake's 2016 hit single 'One Dance' featured Wizkid (Nigeria) and Kyla and was the first song to reach 1-billion Spotify streams, making Wizkid the first African artist to achieve this.
- Rema's 'Calm Down' remix featuring Selena Gomez became the first African artist-led track to reach one billion Spotify streams in 2023.
