Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is proving that there is a lot more to him.
American star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is showing the world that he is his own kind of triple threat.
From being a professional wrestler to having an illustrious acting career and now potentially moving into the world of music, The Rock is proving there is very little he can’t do.
The 54-year-old star is entering the world of music with the release of his new song, ‘Your Dad’.
‘Your Dad’ is a father-daughter ballad co-written with 2023 American Idol winner Iam Tongi.
It appears on the brand-new 'Moana: Voices Across the Ocean' album, which was released in conjunction with the live-action ‘Moana’ reboot.
The song lyrics go: “My, my whole life changed / From the moment I held you in my heart I knew / That life would never be the same.”
“Now you go move those mountains / And sail across the oceans / Go show the world and prove / There’s nothing you can’t do.”
The global superstar spoke to Rolling Stone about his pivot to music.
“I always like to say I sing from the heart, and I sing in keys that don’t exist. So it’s a good combo,” he joked.
“Growing up, in our family, and generally in Polynesian families, there is a lot of singing and there’s a lot of ceremonial dancing and things like that. So it was kind of in the ether as I was growing up.”
