UCT engineers design device to help kids, elderly asthma sufferers

Engineers at the University of Cape Town (UCT) have created a new device which requires less force to activate the asthma pump or inhaler - making it far easier for children and the elderly.

The device, aptly named the Easy Squeeze is an assistant device for metered-dose asthma inhalers. According to a press statement by UCT, the device was created as a response to inhalers commonly prescribed by doctors.
