World shocked by 'worst tennis player ever'
Video footage of what is arguably the worst tennis performance ever has gone viral.
The organisers of a professional women’s tournament that has gone viral because of a wildcard player’s dire performance have acknowledged that she should not have been allowed to play.

Twenty-one-year-old Egyptian Hajar Abdelkader lost 6–0, 6–0 and served 20 double faults during the match in Nairobi on Wednesday, with the footage leaving many viewers wondering whether she had ever played tennis before.
Abdelkader won only three points during her 37-minute debut.

The match was part of an International Tennis Federation tournament.
Tennis Kenya says it has reached out to both players to offer support.

The organisation said Abdelkader had applied to enter the tournament as a wildcard and was given a spot at the last minute following the withdrawal of another player.
It added that, in hindsight, she should not have been allowed to compete.
