WATCH: 16-year-old Haaland's rap song goes viral
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Norwegian DJ Kygo put his spin on the football star's song.
Manchester City football star Erling Haaland is one of the biggest names in football, and during the 2026 FIFA World Cup he made an even bigger name for himself.
The Norwegian striker became so popular that fans discovered a rap song he released in 2016 when he was 16-years-old.
Using the stage name Lyng, the football star formed a group called Flow Kingz with his Norwegian teammates Erik Botheim and Erik Tobias Sandberg.
The trio released a song called 'Kygo Jo' and even created a music video.
At the time of writing, the music video had 23 million views on YouTube.
Globally recognised DJ and producer Kygo, who also hails from Norway, caught wind of the song and decided to put his own spin on it.
According to USA Today, Kygo promised to remix the song if Haaland scored in the Round of 16 match against Brazil.
Luckily for fans, Haaland delivered, scoring twice to secure a victory for the Norwegian team.
Two days after Haaland scored his brace, Kygo delivered on his promise and released his 'Kygo Jo' remix, featuring the signature sound for which he is known.
