WATCH: Man hangs onto speeding car's bonnet in Mbombela

Not only has disregarding the rules of the road become commonplace, but road rage also seems to be at an all-time high.
Social media is flooded with videos of such incidents, many of which involve road rage.

On Monday, 8 September, Lizelle Swart shared a video on Facebook showing a man hanging onto the bonnet of a moving car.
According to Lowvelder, Swart saw the man arguing with the driver of a Toyota SUV as she was leaving The Crossing Shopping Centre in Mbombela.
Swart said she began recording the incident because she initially thought it was a hijacking.
The man didn't seem to want to move from in front of the car, so the driver started to pull away.
Refusing to get out of the way, the man instead opted to climb onto the bonnet.

The driver then set off and continued driving as traffic began moving, eventually reaching a speed of almost 80 km/h with the man still clinging to the bonnet.
According to Lowvelder, the man held on all the way to Absa Square.
