Breakfast with Martin Bester reacted to the viral video showing a woman describing a “hack” where she washes her underwear in a hotel coffee machine.
One TikTok creator has caused quite a stir on social media after she shared a disgusting “hack” for washing your underwear while travelling.
@Tara_Woodcox recently went viral after sharing a controversial method for cleaning clothes using the hotel room coffee machine.

In the video, Woodcox describes what she calls the “coolest trick” for travellers who find themselves short on clean underwear.
"I’m about to show you guys one of the coolest tricks ever. Say you’re travelling and you didn’t pack enough underwear, and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, what am I going to wear tomorrow?’ Every room has a coffee pot in it. All you have to do is put your underwear where you would normally put the coffee grounds. You close it, press brew, and it runs scorching hot water through it," she said.

If the washing method was not enough, she also offered a solution for the drying process: simply blast them with the hotel-provided hairdryer and you’re sorted.
According to Woodcox, she picked up the “amazing” tip from a friend who works as a flight attendant. However, since the post resurfaced recently, the reaction has been anything but positive.

The internet’s reaction appears to have reached the creator herself. Despite her enthusiastic delivery in the video, she has since backtracked in the comments, admitting that she does not actually use the method because she also finds it “disgusting”.
It leaves us with one question: if it is too questionable for the person sharing it, why put the idea out there at all? Beyond the obvious hygiene concerns, it is a stark reminder that you might want to rinse that coffee pot extra well the next time you check in.
