Young Pretoria learner performs on Friday Live
Marlia Botha, who was discovered by Breakfast with Martin Bester during Jacaranda FM’s 40th birthday Feel Good Tour, performed on Friday Live for the first time.
During Jacaranda FM’s Feel Good Tour, in celebration of the station’s 40th birthday, Breakfast with Martin Bester made its way to schools across four regions: Gauteng, Limpopo, North West and Mpumalanga.
At each school, the team was blown away by the sheer spirit, pride and talent of the learners.
While all the schools shone with talented learners, there was one learner who set social media ablaze with her incredible vocal performance.
Marlia Botha from Hoërskool Pretoria-Noord performed Kodaline’s ‘All I Want’ during Breakfast with Martin Bester’s live broadcast at the school.
Her incredible vocal talent blew everyone away, and the performance quickly gained traction on social media.
South Africans couldn’t get enough of Botha’s phenomenal voice, and her performance has been viewed more than a million times across social media platforms.

On Friday, 7 August, Martin Bester invited the young singer to the Jacaranda FM studio for her very first Friday Live performance.
Botha performed her rendition of Benson Boone’s ‘In the Stars’.
