We all know and love Adele for her stellar voice, her emotional lyrics and incredible artistry as a musician.

She's a multi-award-winning artist, from the Grammys to an Oscar for her 2013 Bond theme 'Skyfall'.

Fans also love the singer's down-to-earth, humorous, authentic and larger-than-life personality.

While she is not yet trying her hand at being a comedian, she is ready to make her Hollywood big-screen debut!

Deadline reports that the singer will be starring in Tom Ford's new film.

Ford is known for his namesake fashion brand, but he is also a filmmaker, having directed Oscar-nominated movies 'A Single Man' (2009) and 'Nocturnal Animals' (2016).

With both of his previous directing endeavours being film adaptations of novels, it's no surprise that his next project is another adaptation.

He is set to direct, produce and write 'Cry to Heaven', an adaptation of Anne Rice's 1982 novel.

Adele joins the long list of stellar cast, which includes: Colin Firth ('The King's Speech' & 'Pride and Prejudice'), Nicholas Hoult ('Superman' & 'The Menu'), Thandiwe Newton ('Mufasa' & '2012'), Aaron Taylor-Johnson ('28 Years Later' & 'Tenet'), Ciarán Hinds ('Game of Thrones'), George MacKay ('1917'), Paul Bettany ('The Tourist'), and breakout star Owen Cooper of 'Adolesence'.

The film is currently in pre-production in Rome and London, with an expected release for the end of 2026.

About the novel, 'Cry to Heaven': "The original novel follows the paths of two unlikely collaborators: a Venetian noble and a castrated singer from Calabria, both trying to succeed in the world of the opera. The story touches on themes of identity, betrayal, love and the pursuit of artistic and personal freedom."

Anne Rice is also the author of other cult hits such as 'Interview With The Vampire' and 'The Queen of the Damned', both of which have also received the Hollywood treatment.
