The iconic actress got candid about her relapse after being sober for 10 years.

Natasha Lyonne has long been a famous fixture in Hollywood.

Her filmography includes classics such as 'Scary Movie', 'American Pie', and the 90s hit 'But I'm A Cheerleader'.

She also became a fan favourite for her role as Nicky Nichols in 'Orange Is The New Black' and for starring in and writing the series 'Russian Doll'.

Since being in the spotlight from a young age, Lyonne has always been very open about her struggles with fame and addiction.

In 2001, she was arrested for a DUI, and in 2006, The Associated Press reported that she went to court-appointed rehab after facing criminal mischief, harassment and trespassing charges.

The charges stemmed from allegations that she threatened to molest a neighbour's dog during an argument.

In a 2012 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lyonne said that "spiralling into addiction is really, really scary" and that she was definitely "as good as dead".

She was also honest and admitted that she thought she was not going to be able to come back to her acting career after her drug and legal issues in the 2000s.

Now the 46-year-old star took to X to reveal that she experienced a recent relapse.

She began by posting "Took my relapse public more to come".

Lyonne then followed up by sharing about the struggles of sobriety and that she had relapsed after being sober for a decade.

Many fans and stars shared their support with the actress.

Lyonne can be seen in recent roles for Marvel's 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' and the animated film 'The Bad Guys 2'.
