The Springbok player sat down with The Drive with Rob and Roz to discuss his autobiography, 'Unlocked'.

He is the most capped Springbok player, with 137 to his name, and has been awarded the title of South Africa's Rugby Player of the Year multiple times.
Eben Etzebeth is considered to be somewhat of a national hero.

Supporters love to see him running out on the field and shout at the top of their lungs when he does what he does best.
He is one of the most accomplished and hardworking sportsmen South Africa has ever seen.

It seems like there is nowhere else he would rather be than on that rugby field, wearing the green and gold Springbok jersey.
From humble beginnings to World Cup glory, it just seems natural.
Some might be surprised to know that Etzebeth's journey hasn't always been easy.
I wasn't always the biggest or the tallest. I wondered how my dad and uncles were so tall. But then came my grade 10 year, I had to change position, and then I found myself in the front.- Eben Etzebeth

He also didn't grow up always dreaming of becoming a Springbok.
It took a serious, but hilarious, wake-up call before Etzebeth switched his ambitions.
I was a big WWE (wrestling) fan, and it was one of the options. My father finally convinced me that WWE was fake and that they don't really hit each other, so I decided rugby is the way to go, because that's definitely not fake.- Eben Etzebeth
