'Egoli' star reveals she is the "FlySafair lady"

Have you ever watched an animated movie, heard a radio ad, or played a video game and recognised a voice you couldn't identify?

Luckily, a quick Google search can help you find the actor or voice-over artist.
Very few people could tell that Fergie (one of the Black Eyed Peas members) is the voice of Sally Brown in 'Peanuts' or that Vin Diesel was the voice of the Iron Giant in the movie of the same name.

When you travel by plane, there is so much going on that the identity of the in-flight announcer is probably the last thing on your mind.
However, one local airline seems to have managed to capture the attention of its passengers with its announcer's dulcet tones.
An Instagram page called @UCTJustConfessing allows people to submit their confessions anonymously, which are then posted on the page.

Most of these posts are submitted by students, and the confessions range from sweet to unhinged.
One of the most recent posts went viral, as the anonymous submission shared appreciation for "the fly safair intercom lady."
The person said she has "the loveliest voice" and even admitted that they "keep my seatbelt buckled until the light goes off just for her."

The post gathered a bunch of likes, but unfortunately, no one knows who the voice belongs to.
Until now!
Only a few weeks later, the post had somehow made it through the proper channels, and the voice behind the FlySafair announcements made herself known.

The voice belongs to none other than the iconic Zimbabwean-South African actress, Mary-Anne Barlow!
Barlow shared the original UCTJustConfessing post on her Instagram page, saying that it made her day:
Barlow is one of SA's most accomplished actors, known for her roles in 'Egoli: Place of Gold', 'Isidingo', 'Legacy', and the Leon Schuster hit film 'Mama Jack'.
Next time you find yourself on a FlySafair flight, listen carefully to Barlow's instructions.
