Kim Kardashian lands first lead role in comedy film

The reality star is not done with her acting era yet.

The Kardashians are television royalty.

Even though there have been some questionable 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' moments, and everyone knows reality TV is still slightly scripted, none of the reality stars have chosen to expand their on-screen careers.

Some of them have had cameo appearances here and there, but Kim Kardashian has decided to fully take the leap into acting in recent years.

She took the initial plunge by playing the divisive role of catty, powerful publicist Siobhan Corbyn in 'American Horror Story: Delicate' (Season 12).

Her most recent acting project, 'All's Fair', starring heavy Hollywood hitters like Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts and Teyana Taylor, turned out to be a flop, receiving harsh reviews and an IMDb score of 3,5/10.

Now, Netflix have announced that she will be one of the lead actresses in their new comedy 'The Fifth Wheel'.

The streaming giant's synopsis reads: "A group of best friends from high school attempt to reconnect during a weekend jaunt to Vegas. When a hot outsider (played by Kardashian) crashes the weekend, they’re forced to face their messy lives, bad decisions, and unravelling friendships."

'Desperate Housewives' actress Eva Longoria will direct the film, which was written by Paula Pell and Janine Brito.

Kardashian joins fellow cast members Nikki Glaser ('Trainwreck'), Fortune Feimster ('Zootopia 2', 'FUBAR'), and Brenda Song ('Running Point', 'The Last Showgirl').

Netflix have not announced the release date, but has shared pictures of the stars on set.

She will also star in Amazon MGM's upcoming 'Bratz' movie, which many think might be one of the most genius castings ever.
