The multimillionaire has upgraded her mansion's security in a very unconventional way.

Being part of the first family of reality television comes with many perks.

The Kardashian-Jenner family has access to designer outfits, front-row seats at runway shows, invites to the hottest parties, and millions and millions of dollars in their bank accounts.

Unfortunately, being as famous as these reality stars isn't all sunshine and rainbows.

You also become a target.

Bodyguards and high-tech security systems can only do so much, as seen in the Kim Kardashian Paris robbery case.

On 6 October 2016, armed thieves broke into Kim Kardashian's room at the No Address hotel in Paris, where the reality star was staying during Fashion Week.

The thieves bound and gagged her, put her in the bathtub and proceeded to steal millions of dollars worth of jewellery.

French media dubbed the group the 'Grandpa Robbers' due to their ages and previous criminal history.

Since the ordeal, Kim has opened up more about the experience and the trauma she has had to deal with from that day.

An incident like this will make any person reassess their security and make some changes.

Kim's sister, Kylie, has been working on her dream home in the Hidden Hills neighbourhood in Los Angeles for the last five years.

The makeup mogul has been accumulating real estate since she was 17, and she has been working on this record-breaking development since May 2020.

According to sources, she purchased the bare-bones plot of land from Miley Cyrus, but so far, it includes 15 bedrooms, an underground bunker, and a sauna.

One of the final steps before her home is completed is adding more security.

However, Jenner has gone down an interesting route that has cost her $500,000 (R800,000).

New photos show that the star has planted a line of overgrown olive trees around the house.

It's reported that she spent half a million on the gorgeous trees that will also serve as added security and provide extra privacy from prying eyes.
