Legendary Rock 'n Rollers pay tribute to late Ozzy Osbourne at VMAs
Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary frontman of heavy metal group Black Sabbath, died on 22 July at the age of 76, just weeks after he gave an epic farewell concert.
The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) are, second to the Grammys, considered one of the biggest nights in music.

The performances are always out of this world, and for those artists lucky enough to receive a Moonman, it is truly an honour.
This year, there were incredible performances from Mariah Carey, Tate McRae and Doja Cat.
One performance stood out from the rest for all the right reasons.

Rock 'n roll legends came together for a rocking tribute featuring a medley of the late Ozzy Osbourne's greatest hits.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and lead guitarist Joe Perry teamed up with Yungblud and Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt to deliver a thrilling, heavy and heartfelt performance.

Ozzy's son, Jack, and four granddaughters, Pearl, Andy, Minnie and Maple, introduced the performance while all wearing Ozzy t-shirts.
The performance kicked off with Yungblud, who is a big fan of Ozzy and his work as an artist, singing 'Crazy Train' and 'Changes' with Bettencourt on guitar.

The Aerosmith members then came out to sing 'Mama, I'm Coming Home' before Yungblud joined in on the vocals.
The performance was loaded with emotion, with the artists, audience and viewers all moved by the tribute.

Before leaving the stage, the group shared an embrace, and Yungblud yelled, "Ozzy forever, man!"
PEOPLE spoke to Bettencourt, 58, about the performance he was a part of and what it meant to him:
It's incredible. My 15-year-old self can't believe it. We grew up on Ozzy. He changed rock and roll and metal as we know it. So I think the tribute tonight with myself, Yungblud, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry... it's old blood and young blood tonight. We're gonna blow the roof off the place and I think the fans are gonna be pleased. Maybe a few tears at the end.
And there were definitely tears by the end!

Tyler, Yungblud and Bettencourt all attended Ozzy's final Black Sabbath concert at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.
