South Africa’s most iconic reality competition is back, officially returning for its highly anticipated 12th season.
This season will once again combine high-stakes competition, island luxury, and the star power that has made the show a household staple for over a decade.
Leandie du Randt is one of the eight celebrity contestants who will team up with a member of the public, competing against the others in hopes of winning R1-million.
I think just being surrounded with people who inspire me, like I love all these contestants. I watch them, I follow them, and to actually just be on an island with them for three weeks, it's amazing.
Du Randt has grown from a newbie in the entertainment industry to a multi-hyphenate with a list of professional accomplishments that is beyond impressive.
She's an actress, has published two books, hosts the talk show 'Gesels', co-owns the successful business To Be Gift Boxes with her sister and much more.
Now she's ready to add 'Reality Show Champion' to the ever-growing list.
Twelve years ago, she competed on 'Strictly Come Dancing' and just missed out on winning the title.
Du Randt has decided she's ready to return to reality television by competing on the latest season of 'Tropika Island of Treasure'.
And this time she's clearly ready to take the crown!

How YOU can join 'Tropika Island of Treasure'
Tropika is on the hunt for eight smoooth members of the public to join the season 12 celebrities on the island. Think you have what it takes to compete alongside these celebrities? Upload your audition tape to either TikTok, Facebook, X or Instagram, tagging @MyTropika and using the hashtag #Tropika. Finalists will compete for the grand prize of a shared R1 million and receive a R10,000 shopping voucher from Pep to ensure they are island-ready in style.
Auditions are now open and close on 5 May 2026.
