These types of hangouts not only help you save money, but also strengthen and create stronger bonds between friends than partying in a loud club might.
The creators of @thefinancialdiet have shared another idea that could be the most fun one yet.

They explain that you should invite your loved ones (friends or family) to a "memory mining night," where you all delve into the past and lean into nostalgia.
How it works
You get together with your besties and go through your camera rolls, texts, playlists, and the weird Notes app notes you write to yourself at 3 a.m.

You all open the app of choice the group has decided on, and scroll and keep scrolling until someone says stop.
The picture, video, or text you landed on is then shown to the group, and you have to share the backstory behind it.

Is it a meme that needs some serious explaining or a photo from a trip?
Sharing the story and reminiscing make it fun.
You get that physical closeness that skyrockets your dopamine. It's literally magic. No judgment — just pure acceptance, joy, and feeling seen. It’s also a real-time reminder that your friends care about you, which is important to hold onto.
As you go through your phone, you'll recall group stories or laugh together at dating horror stories.
