Higgs and Kyriacou have proven successful in the restaurant industry with their ventures.

Now they've expanded their latest endeavour, Pantry, from what started as a petrol forecourt in Rosebank.
Unlike any other forecourt, Pantry offers grab-and-go meals, tasty coffee, local produce, baked goods and even wine.

Customers can purchase restaurant-level meals, including wood-fired pizzas, ice cream, burgers, and more.
It’s also open 24 hours a day.
The Pantry by Marble began in Rosebank in 2022, and on November 1, 2025, the first standalone Pantry store opened its doors in Hazelwood, Pretoria.

They have also announced plans to expand to Bassonia, Johannesburg, as well.

The inspiration for the store first came to Highs and Kyriacou during the COVID-19 pandemic.

From the products to the music, everything in the store is carefully curated to ensure an above-average customer experience.
The original location became so popular that they were struggling to keep up with the pace of products flying off the shelves.

Today, it is one of the most popular forecourts in South Africa.
The new location in Hazelwood is keeping a similar vibe and also provides Pantry favourites.
There’s no petrol station attached to this one, so we’ve got a lot more room. So we’re really looking to push the boundaries with what we’ve got to offer.- Gary Kyriacou

Kyriacou also pointed out that the extra space will allow them to expand their grocery offering.
