"We wanted to share some important news with you. After much reflection and open conversations, we have mutually decided to end our marriage.

"This decision comes from a place of love, respect, and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us,” they shared on their respective social media pages.

Of course, the ones this affected the most were Siya, Rachel and their families.

Since then, Rachel has been truly vulnerable in sharing how she is coping after the split.

Rachel shared her feelings about seeing her kids flying to visit their dad, alone for the first time.

"In the process of getting divorced," she wrote on social media. "And today was the first time my kids flew to see their dad without me. It was hard."

The TikTok video showed her helping her kids pack for the trip and even doing her daughter's hair.

But things took a sad turn when the mother of two revealed that she had her second-ever anxiety attack ahead of taking her children to the airport.

Now, Rachel is ready to "fall forward".

In a new Instagram post, Rachel has shared a video where she opens up about her struggles, but this is only just the beginning.

The video starts with Rachel in October 2024 and is the announcement of her new documentary 'Falling Forward'.

"This is gonna be hard," she says as she tears up.

"I've been in front of hundreds, sometimes thousands of people and a lot of the topics would be about living a balanced life and how do you do it all, how are you this amazing wife, this amazing mom, this social woman, you're working out. You have this amazing business, and career, and foundation, and how do you just manage it all?"

"The truth is I didn't."

A statement on her website explains the motivation for this documentary: "Falling Forward is a deeply personal documentary that follows Rachel Kolisi through the defining seasons of her life, identity, loss, healing, motherhood, courage, and rediscovery. This exclusive screening invites audiences into her world with honesty and vulnerability, offering a rare look at the moments that shaped the woman she is today. The documentary is not about divorce, or public speculation; instead, it focuses on her personal journey and the quiet strength that has guided her forward."

In March 2026, there will also be screenings of documentary across the country in Makhanda, Gqeberha (PE), Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
