South Africans understand that sport can mean so much more than just supporting your favourite team or enjoying a day out.

This country has seen how sport can bring people together and have a lasting, positive impact.

The Springboks are one of the best examples of that.

One of the many ways in which a Springbok game is so much more than just a game is the Impi Warriors, who are now ingrained in South African rugby culture.

As thousands of supporters hear the drumbeat building and Johnny Clegg's iconic song playing loud and proud, these men run onto the field with passion and power.

They are accompanied by the roar of South African cheers, and we couldn't imagine a more fitting intro for our national team.

Sibusiso Kotelo is one of these Springbok Impi Warriors.

As the iconic Impi, Kotelo has become a familiar and much-loved presence at Springbok matches.

He brings unmistakable energy and gees to every game.

His distinctive silhouette and powerful presence have made him one of the most recognisable figures on the sidelines of South African rugby.

Kotelo loves putting on a show, but to him, this role is a privilege and something so much bigger than just a spectacle.

Behind the physical strength is something fans recognise in their own lives: grit when things get difficult, courage under pressure, and the inner calm and focus it takes to keep going.

In a country that has long found hope and pride in the Springboks, Sibusiso’s presence has come to represent something beyond the game, a reminder that courage is as much about how we carry ourselves through life as how we show up on match day.

While Kotelo couldn't be prouder of the role he plays, there is also a man behind the shield.

He is a humble family man, an accomplished bodybuilder, and a history-maker.

The Drive with Rob and Roz sat down with Kotelo to talk about his journey as an Impi Warrior, becoming the first black IFBB Pro bodybuilder in South African history, and so much more.
