Luckily, the love of SA food is going internationally, and if you are settled across the pond, you can find establishments cooking up proudly South African dishes.

One American man is on a mission to expand his taste palate and try as many cuisines as he can.
Kent Burris, known as @dine.with.kent on social media, is taking viewers along on his culinary journey as he shares videos of himself visiting various restaurants to try a wide range of dishes.

He has quickly captured the hearts of viewers with his thoughtful reviews and sweet nature.
In his TikTok bio, he writes: “Let’s eat at delicious dives in Texas and Louisiana”.
He also loves supporting small businesses.

How did he grab Mzansi’s attention?
It all started when he tried African food.
South Africans quickly reached out and shared their opinions, saying South African food is not the same as all African food.
Kent addressed this in a new video, saying he wanted to give it a second try and not disappoint his SA viewers.

After his second attempt, Kent received more comments saying that he was still not trying authentic SA cuisine.
