Steve Irwin’s son pulls same stunt as dad at award show 23 years later
Robert Irwin, the son of the Aussie crocodile hunter, has proudly been continuing his late father’s legacy.
The Australian zookeeper and conservationist Steve Irwin is no longer with us, but his son might just be his doppelganger.
Not only does Robert look like a younger version of his dad, but he also has the same passion, love and appreciation for nature and conservation.
In the years since his father’s passing, the world has seen Robert grow up and come into his own.
He’s been on some of the most popular late-night talk shows, won 'Dancing with the Stars' and plays an influential role at Australia Zoo.
And through everything, he has taken all his animal friends along with him.
On Sunday, 16 August, the biggest night in Australian television, the 66th TV Week Logie Awards, celebrated its stars.
Robert Irwin took centre stage as the host for the night and was also nominated for the prestigious Gold Logie.
The conservationist didn’t take the job lightly and received glowing reviews all around.
Many people agree that he opened the event with one of ”the most iconic” monologues, but halfway through the evening is when he really stole the show.
He also paid tribute to his dad, who rocked up to the Logies in 2003 and surprised, but also shocked, everyone by bringing a snake on stage.
As we already said, Robert loves taking his animal friends with him, no matter what gig he’s doing, and the Logies were no different.
While entertaining, everything Robert Irwin does is intentional.

There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Steve would have given Robert a 10 out of 10 for this tribute.
