WATCH: Award-winning singer surprises two of his biggest fans
Two boys had no idea that their dreams would come true and were overcome with emotion.
Lewis Capaldi released his debut single 'Bruises' in 2017, without a label and slowly gained popularity.
It wasn't long before he shot to international superstardom, became a Grammy nominee and topped the Billboard and UK charts.
His second single, 'Someone You Loved', in 2018, cemented him in the music industry, along with his debut album 'Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent'.
However, his rapid rise to success later affected his mental health, especially after publicly sharing his Tourette's diagnosis in 2022.
According to Mayo Clinic, "Tourette syndrome is a disorder that involves repetitive movements or unwanted sounds (tics) that can't be easily controlled.
For instance, you might repeatedly blink your eyes, shrug your shoulders or blurt out unusual sounds or offensive words."
In 2023, while performing at Glastonbury in England, Capaldi was struggling to perform and sing during his set, but the crowd helped him through it.
After this show, he reflected on what had happened and decided to step away from music, performing, and the spotlight.
And not just for a week or a month, but much longer.
On July 15, 2025, Capaldi was a guest on Theo Von's podcast, 'This Past Weekend', and spoke openly and honestly about his mental health struggles.
He said that he had spent the two years after the Glastonbury working on his mental health, focusing on therapy, trying to reduce stressors and "getting into a much better headspace".
Capaldi has inspired many, not just musicians and performers, but also those with the same diagnosis.
Which brings us to Keelan Tiernan and Dylan Bowe, two best friends who are massive Lewis Capaldi fans.
The boys appeared on 'The Late Late Toy Show', a beloved Irish TV favourite that began in 1975 as a 30-minute feature on 'The Late Late Show'.
The RTÉ show is an annual Christmas tradition in many households across the island of Ireland, with kids testing toys, music performances, and celebrity appearances.
In December 2025, Keelan and Dylan were on the show and surprised them with a special video message.
10-year-old Keelan shared that, as someone who also has Tourette's, Lewis has inspired him to sing more.
In the video, Capaldi says he wishes he could be there in person, but he was on tour, and he promises to make it up to them.
And as it turns out, Lewis keeps his promises.
