WATCH: Learner driver confronts and humiliates taxi driver

Every South African is familiar with the taxi situation – it’s practically a part of our national identity.

Taxis are notorious for disregarding the rules of the road, often leaving other drivers dodging chaos.
It’s become a running joke across the country because if you know, you definitely know.
The lawless driving by taxis is enough to make your blood boil.

However, aggressive driving and road rage are major concerns and a real threat to the safety of all road users.
In another viral video that screams "Only In SA", one driver decided he has had enough and was brave enough to confront a taxi driver.

The video shared on X only shows a learner driver stopping his car, getting out and physically assaulting a taxi driver.
While we don't know what the trigger was that started the altercation, it seemed serious enough for the driver to stop his car in traffic and act on his rage.

The video also shows a bystander trying to de-escalate the situation.

Violence is never the answer and should certainly not be condoned.

That didn't stop many fellow frustrated South Africans from praising the driver for his "heroic" actions in putting the taxi driver in his place:
- "That is what should happen to all of them wherever they are found until they repent from their wicked ways. Amen".
- "im a simple man I see a taxi driver get beat up I like".
- "Still want to see how "ARTO" will be implemented on this TAXI SH*T by this delusional government !!! Taxi drivers are above the road rules in South Africa !!!!!"
- "Undercover traffic vigilantes move in white Nissan vans".

Others are simply asking for the taxi passengers to share their point of view.
You can only imagine how awkward the rest of the ride must have been...
