Petrol prices have been skyrocketing around the globe, but this man seems to be facing the full brunt of it.

Mbongiseni Mbatha shared a picture on Twitter showing the exorbitant amount he paid to fill up his bakkie.

The picture shows that he paid R3,071 for 147 litres of petrol, leaving South Africans stunned.

Some commented: "No bakkie at the moment can be filled up with 3k even if the diesel price is this high bru unless it's a land cruiser.".
