Video of man hitting woman and forcing her into taxi causes outrage
A shocking video has emerged online of an alleged taxi driver hitting a woman in a taxi at one of Durban's CBD ranks.
This video was posted on Facebook by Nazir Hassan Ebrahim, who witnessed the incident and filmed it. In the video we see the taxi driver talking to the woman, who is inside the taxi.
He then disgustingly slaps her. It seems as though she tries to escape, but he pulls her by her clothes, shoves her back inside the taxi, and continues to hit her.
The camera moves to where we lose sight of the taxi driver and the woman. Seconds later we hear the taxi door slam shut.
The video has been shared over 12,000 times and has over 1,000 comments, with many condemning the driver's behaviour and asking why nobody helped the poor woman?
