Recently, an attempted cash-in-transit robbery took place in eQonce in the Eastern Cape.

In the video, you see the robbers blocking the cash truck with their own vehicle while they attach an explosive device to it.
After a short while, you see a small puff of smoke as the device fails to detonate properly.

Hawks spokesperson, Captain Yolisa Mgolodela, commented that no money was taken, and that one security guard sustained a minor injury.
