Doctors said he wouldn't speak until the age of three, but music is making all the difference.
Music heals most of us from pain and often serves as the perfect escape from the mundane routine of our lives. Music can sometimes serve as a bridge that connects us to the people in our world, as it has proven to be true for two-year-old Bo.
A mother from Utah, Amanda Bowman Gray, shared a video of her children singing “You Are My Sunshine” on Facebook, where it quickly went viral with over 60-million views. Amanda’s daughter, Lydia, played the guitar and sang for her little brother and the most adorable thing happened - Bo said his first word. Bo picked up the words while his sister was singing and, as it happens, ‘Happy’ was his first word.

PEOPLE interviewed Amanda about the special moment and she said she was very happy as this was the first time her son spoke. She says she would recommend music therapy as it is evident that it works for children like hers.
