International Porsche Racing Driver Saul Hack joined the Scenic Drive with Rian to share about his career and upcoming racing events.

Sports played an important role in his life and for quite some time he was divided between racing and swimming. When he was only 3-years-old, his father put him on his first four-wheeled motorbike.

“I always wanted to race cars and from a young age I used to beg my father to let me race in Karts which never happened because of the swimming and other sporting commitments,” he told the Scenic Drive.

At the age of 20, he drove on the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit for the first time, “which was also my first experience in a real car on a race track. My father and uncle allowed me to use their Porsche. That was the day I knew I had to pursue a motor racing career at some point in my life if given the chance.”

| It has been an amazing year of learning in Supercup, this weekends results did not justify the strength of my driving here in Mexico and being very unfortunate at the start of both races. In race 1 after avoiding an incident and a number of back markers completely cutting in T1 & 2, I made slight contact with a slower car early in the race and caused him to spin, resulting in a drive through penalty. In race 2 I got bumped into T1 and activated the pit limiter 🙈 dropping me back to last at the beginning of the race, so P16 in the end was a good place to settle. | This has all been part of the learning experience, I now know how this works, I will be back a much stronger driver and competitor next year regardless of what I end up doing. What an unbelievable championship and what an unbelievable experience! • • • • @lechnerracing @porschesupercup @porsche.customerracing @porsche_southafrica
