Jenine van der Merwe tells Rian about her fitness modelling aspirations
Jenine van der Merwe from Secunda is fitness model and a proud mother of three. The former Fitness Magazine Face of Fitness contestant hopes to participate in an international competition in the USA in April of this year.
Jenine van der Merwe's interest in fitness and bodybuilding began in 2010 when she had to let an older woman help her carry her groceries to the car because Jenine wasn't strong enough herself.
After that day, Jenine decided to stop taking her fast metabolism for granted and join the gym. Jenine says her main goals are to be healthy, to be fit and to be strong. Since then Jenine has participated in several competitions including Fitness Magazine Face of Fitness, the USN Millenium Gold Plate and the IFBB/BBSA at the provincial and the national levels.
