Rian van Heerden shared the emotional moment of his birth with the Scenic Drive.
Earlier this year, Rian van Heerden opened up to listeners of the Scenic Drive and the team about his birth - and the moment was so beautiful, we had to share it.
When his mother was 36, she was adamant she wanted another child, but doctors told her that she was too old.

Luckily, she fell pregnant. There were a few issues and before she gave birth to Rian, doctors told her that there might be some complications when giving birth. She had to choose between herself and Rian. Adamant to have a child, she chose to not terminate her pregnancy and have Rian.
After his birth - both Rian and his mother were in ICU, but when she saw her son - she knew she made the right decision.
Rian also thanked all mothers who chose their kids above everything else.
