Even as Charles married the late Princess Diana, and Camilla married her own boyfriend, Charles and Camilla famously went on to maintain their close friendship throughout their respective marriages.

It took nearly 30 years for the two to publicly and officially become a couple.

In 1993, an intimate phone call between Charles and Camilla leaked, causing a huge scandal.

Later, in 1995, during an interview with BBC One’s Panorama, Diana spoke about Camilla’s relationship with Charles, saying, “There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded.”

In the years that followed, both divorced their partners.

After the divorce of Charles and Diana, Diana became one of the most famous women in the world. Followed by paparazzi and millions every day, Diana tragically died in a car crash in 1997.

Charles and Camilla made their relationship public and eventually got married in 2005.

In 2020, Charles and Camilla celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary. The couple posted a photo of themselves on Twitter with their dogs, Bluebell and Beth.
