Hotel managers in Spain are once again having to deal with tourists risking their lives with "balconing", a daredevil-ish stunt in which sun chasers scale buildings and jump from balconies and land on nearby buildings or in swimming pools.

The latest incident occurred at a hotel in Majorca. An unidentified man in swimming shorts is seen shimmying up a drainpipe before standing on the edge and jumping off into a pool below.

Tourists below cheered as at least one man warned the tourist not to jump. Fortunately, he was not injured.

The hotel managers have not banned the man from returning to the establishment, but did confirm that they called police to escort the man off the premises.

On other Spanish islands, such as Magaluf, balconing comes with a hefty fine of about R10,000.
