Dramatic footage shows journalist being saved as GoPro breaks sniper's shot
Updated | By Lee-Roy Wright
Now this is what you call being saved by the skin of your teeth!

We have watched this over and over!
Journalist Ammar Alwaely was working in Mosul, Iraq when a sniper's bullet hit his GoPro camera. The camera, which was a gift from one of his co-workers, almost certainly saved his life.
In the video you can see how the GoPro camera disintegrates as the sniper's bullet hits the camera.
He immediately falls to the floor and remains there, afraid to stand up. There is no doubt that the sniper was aiming straight for his heart, but instead missed and hit the small camera.
Ammar received treatment for minor cuts, but was otherwise left unharmed.
