The second season curse
Which series have you stopped watching because the second season just sucked?
We all love our TV series, but don’t you just hate it when the second season doesn’t live up to the quality of the first?
Remember Heroes? It had an amazing, critically-acclaimed first season, but the second season was universally panned, eventually resulting in the series getting canned. Heroes is giving it one more shot though, with a reboot of the series called “Heroes Reborn”.
One comedy series which Barney absolutely adored, but has stopped watching because it just isn’t the same anymore, is Two & a Half Men. Granted, this show’s quality lasted more than two seasons, but Barney just hasn’t managed to get over Charlie Sheen’s departure from the show, and he doesn’t think Ashton Kutcher is good enough. According to Barney, “There’s only one Charlie Sheen!”
Other shows that we (and critics) feel had below average second seasons include Desperate Housewives, Homeland, and Lost.
