As SA sets to get ready for the biggest blast from the past event of 2015, Billy Ocean shares some wisdom on how to be safe on the roads over the festive season.

Born as Leslie Sebastian Charles, Billy Ocean has been well known recording artist since the 70’s and is on his way to SA for the Kia 80s Rewind Festival on the 31st of Jan 2015 at Carnival City. 

 

Rian from The Complimentary Breakfast caught up with Billy late last week to find out more about what he is up to at the moment and with the holidays fast approaching to give us some safety tips for road users over the festive season.

Coming to Carnival City Festival lawns in Johannesburg (31 January 2015), 80s revelers can look forward to a massive lineup including Billy Ocean, Heather Small (from M People), Nik Kershaw, Go West, Wang Chung, Blancmange. The artists will be performing their greatest hits including " African Queen”, “King of Wishful Thinking”, "Wouldn’t it Be Good", “Moving on Up”,  “Living on the Ceiling” and “Everyone Have Fun Tonight” to name but a few.

 

Returning to South Africa for the third time the 80s REWIND festival is the world’s biggest 80s festival with three massive festivals in the UK, as well as events in Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. First held in August 2009 in England, the event’s following has grown massively over the last 5 years and is considered a highlight on the festival circuit.
