Etzinger on the reality of Eskom

It’s become a common occurrence for South Africans to drop a heavy sigh when the name “Eskom” is heard due to endless list of problems the power company has caused for individuals around the country.
Load shedding, headlines of bankruptcy and poorly maintained power stations have left little hope in the competence of the company to keep homes and businesses lit up with many fearing a dark time ahead filled with lies and empty promises.
However, one Mr Andrew Etzinger, spokesperson of Eskom, is cautiously optimistic about the company’s ability to deliver on its promises and pull through this dilemma.
