Background:
Tiana is an independent 19-year old. She lives on her own, got a job as a book keeper at a law firm to earn her own income and pay her own way. She studies Human Resources part time through Unisa and pays for her own class fees. Tiana lost her mom to cancer two years ago, when she was in Grade 11. She admits that she has a difficult relationship with her dad, whom she had never lived with before and decided to go it on her own as soon as she could. This has not put her down, but rather inspires her to succeed. The first thing she bought herself when she earned her first pay cheque, was a smart phone - it was an investment in her own independence and also a symbol of her independence. Then ... her phone was stolen from her bag, while she was shopping and she was crushed - no insurance means that she would not be able to replace the phone. A friend in Cape Town couriered her a spare phone - but when the bag arrived it was empty - another phone stolen! That's when she sent a mail to Good Morning Angels.

Hallo,
My naam is Tiana, ek is 19 jaar oud en ek bly op my eie. Ek en my pa het te veel baklei nadat my ma oorlede is twee jaar terug, toe sy haar stryd teen kanker verloor het. Dit het gebeur toe ek Gr 11 was. Ek is nou by 'n gevestige prokureurs firma aangestel, maar net as n assistent. Ek betaal my eie studies (ek studeer HR deur UNISA). Gister het 'n aaklige ding met my gebeur. Laas jaar het ek my eie selfoonrekening oopgemaak omdat ek 'n foon nodig gehad het. Dit was die eerste ding wat ek vir myself gekoop het, maar gister in Wonderpark Winkelsentrum het iemand my foon uit my handsak uitgesteel. Nou sit ek weer met niks. Ek kan nie 'n nuwe een bekostig nie en het ook nie versekering gehad op my foon nie. Die sentrum kan niks vir my doen nie, want daar is nie kameras in die PQ’s nie.
Ek weet dit is baie gevra, maar kan julle my asseblief help? Ek het op die oomblik nie 'n foon nie, net 'n e-mail adress by die werk.
