GMA: Who is Jaydee's anonymous Angel?

Background:

We received an extremely generous offer from a Jacaranda FM listener. He wanted to help a family or individual in need to the value of R100 000,00. He wants no mention or contact with the recipient. He only wants to make a real difference in a life where his contribution could make a difference. We sent him various requests for consideration and then he chose to help 2-year old Jaydee. This little boy and his twin sisters are being taken care of by his grandmother. A representative of a new NGO alerted us to his plight ... She told us, that he needed specialized equipment was needed for Jaydee's condition. He has West Syndrome and suffers severe epilepsy, that has left his muscles stiff and stunted his development. He is like a new born baby. 

 

Our Angel, let's call him "D" donated R100 000,00 - exactly what is needed for Jaydee. Many of our listeners wanted to know more about this generous Angel, so we caught up with his friend and orthotist, Trevor Brauckman, to tell us more about the Angels' background and why he did what he did. Trevor says he is a normal father with a family, who wanted to make a difference. He starts by telling is, how they met ...

Good day,

I am Jacolene from a newly registered Non profit organization in Kemptonpark. We registered this company to help little children. We have come to know a 2-year old boy Jaydee. This little angel suffers from west syndrome and epilepsy. He is desperately in need of medical equipment (specialized wheelchair, ankle braces ect) as he cannot walk, crawl, or move by himself. To be honest, he is like a new born baby. Unfortunately we do not have the funds yet to help him. We are planning a fun day to raise funds for him, but the family is really in desperate need of this equipment. The quote has come to R100 000,00. That's not within reach of Jaydee's grandmother, Christa, who is Jaydee and his twin-sisters' foster carer. 

 

Christa also takes him to physiotherapy twice a week in Rustenburg and Pretoria and the travel costs are also a problem.
