The story behind "Say It With Fish And Chips"
William Fourie is 22 and his girlfriend Lieva Starker is an amazing 20-year old violinist from Cape Town who has been accepted to continue her undergrad studies at Birmingham Conservatoire.
The total cost of the scholarship is £ 11 000 and although she has managed to cover most of the costs of her 1st year through various fundraising initiatives, there are still 2 years to go.
William decided to start the Indie GoGo project for two reasons: Firstly, he wanted to make sure that Lieve knew that she had his full support, and secondly, "every amazing violinist needs to eat and this is my way of making sure she at least has a full belly."
The campaign brought in around R42 000 (£2 300) in total and now William is running it again to help insure that she can carry on following her dreams.
