Well, we may have an answer...
You cannot say with full confidence that you have not complained about the amount of crisps that are contained in a packet of chips.
At one time or another, we all question the contents of what we pay for.
And we cannot blame ourselves, with the rising cost of everything, it hits a nerve at some point...
Well, this woman who works for an American chip company, called Frito-Lay, revealed the reason why a packet of chips never comes filled to the brim or even close.
And we have to admit we are happy to hear her reasoning.
"Apparently, the “air” (which is mainly nitrogen, per Today) is both to preserve flavor and serve as padding for transit, Aragon says. Aragon says that if a bag has more than the expected weight of chips, it is considered defective." (Daily Dot)
